The Good, The Bad, and the Downright Ugly.

We’ve all had relationships. The Good, The Bad, and the downright Ugly. This unfortunately, is a story of the latter.

It was never the makings of a true romance, we weren’t really even sure how we met or knew one another. I find myself torn, even as I write this, whether it was all n my head or not. But when you’re in a bad relationship, I guess that’s the entire point. Continue reading »

Looking Back..

Some days, you find yourself in a bar with a friend after one to many vino’s, with a proposed problem that no amount of said vino can fix. And then…you get the look. The look that says you; as the the together and to-do ‘older’ person, must indeed hold the answer which will make everything better.

And y’know…you want to help, you want to say that realistically, its all going to be okay. I should know, as I find myself in these sorts of situations on a far too regular occurrence. But the truth is, deep down, you really haven’t got a clue. You look back, trying to draw inspiration from the most bothersome of Continue reading »

The Honesty Policy.

As i’ve heard many times (and i’m sure as have you): “Honesty is always the best policy”. But when it comes to men and women, can we really be so black and white about a word that is shrouded in so many shades of grey? When it comes to relationships, how honest can we say we are ever being at any given time?

I’ll tell you a story.

Once upon a time, I went on a date. And another date, and another after that, with a rather lovely and charming young man from Winchester. Things went rather well – and we spent every weekend together. Continue reading »

Everything Changes..

As I look outside my window, its official. Spring has arrived. The time of year for daffodils and de-ja-vu. That time of year where we decide that enough is enough – a clear out is very much in order. We change our clothes, our hair, our style, and completely makeover, well, pretty much whatever we like.

As I look out my window, I find myself not only faced with Spring, but the dire need for clear out of life, stuck at a cross-road littered with daffodils and chocolate egg shaped diet faux pas’.

The ‘Ex’ Factor..

There are approximately 62,218,761 people in the the United Kingdom, with about 1720600 of those living in Hampshire alone. So why is it, in this vastly populated county, that no matter who you are, or where you go, you are destined to run into that one person you would rather avoid for all eternity?

In mathematics, ‘X’ is always the unknown. The equation to be figured out. The mystery. Unfortunately, in real life you can’t apply that same logic. Continue reading »

Head Over Heels….

So here it is, the day we all dread/love/loath/eagerly await. (Please, for ease of writing, delete as appropriate ladies!)

Valentine’s Day.

So, before I delve into my fashion fixes of this month, let me take you back a few years, to Valentine’s of ’09. I was dressed up rather fittingly to just that, in a rather stylish LRD (the secondary staple of a wardrobe aside the LBD) from Karen Millen. It was a halter-neck, silk, floaty, fabulous. I looked, and, lets face it, suitably paid, a million dollars. Continue reading »

The Digital Fairy Tale….

Just picture the scene:

The highest of towers in the biggest of castles, with the evilest of cackles from the wicked old witch. There, in the corner; a seemingly helpless (and obviously gorgeous even in distress) girl in mortal peril. All hope is lost…..or is it?

In the distance, you hear the pounding of hooves, some cry of honour, and the handsome Prince – sword in hand – is here to save the day. “Happily Ever After” promptly ensues.

Now, picture today:

No castles or colourful scenery, no Prince Charming in sight (presumeably stuck on the Jubilee Line). Continue reading »
