Hello Sarah,
I just thought I’d write to say that you’ve made my afternoon at work much brighter than it could have been! I was following the Mental Health Debate on Twitter when I saw your posting and decided to follow the link to your site.
I’ve now spent about an hour and a half reading various things, so thank you!
I’m in the process of setting up my own business and will be in need of a good writer at some point (not yet as I don’t have the pennies to pay at the moment) and will keep you in mind.
Thanks once again for making me smile.
Oliver
Hello Oliver!
Thank you for the lovely comment, and also sorry for being such a distraction at work
It’s so good that today has received so much coverage and so many of us are speaking out wanting to make a difference! Feel free to drop me an email at any point – always nice to speak with fellow people setting up small businesses and such….
Thanks again,
Sarah
Hi Sarah, I read the article about you in last Tuedays Portsmouth News with great interest as I have been suffering from mental health issues for some time My depression has been put down to seasonally acquired disorder, although I’m not so sure as I have been interested in the weather and the best and worst that Mother Nature can throw at us for most of my life and was at one time the weatherman on Angel Radio here in Havant. I have been made redundant three times in the past 11 years and go so down last winter that after a row with my wife I took a bottle of whisky and my anti-depressant pills and headed to Somerset where I took the lot and then slept in the car all weekend before driving back home. I was given psychiatric help after that and am trying to get back into the real world; at least my work colleagues are supportive, especially one who had had a nervous breakdown in a previous job. I will continue to read your website as I try to recover.
Regards, Malcolm
Dear sarah
How are you? we chatted a couple of years ago, and also randomley shared a train journey from fareham to swanwick. I just wanted to say that its great that youre writing about mental health. As we discussed a few years ago we both have stories to tell on that front. last year my mental helath deteriorated into being sectioned and ending up in hospital. So i understand how you may feel sometimes. Anyway hope you dont mind me writing to you again and take care
david
